The Vasquez Canal Piping 2008 project is the first of a multi-year program by Denver Water to enclose existing open-ditch raw water canals of the Moffat Collection System into enclosed conduits. Denver Water’s installation crew quickly realized advantages of the Tylox® SuperSeal™ pre-lubricated rubber gaskets over traditional rubber gaskets, especially when installing something as large as 114” diameter RCP. As SuperSeal gaskets do not require equalization, Precast Concepts attached the gaskets onto the pipe prior to shipment, eliminating this step on-site and expediting pipe installation.
